Causes and Treatment of Low Back Pain

Unknown to many people out there, simple low back pain is the most popular of the many types of back pain available. Statistics show that nineteen out of twenty people are affected by it. It is not associated with any other disease.

It is also known as non-specific low back pain because it is not often diagnosed accurately or linked to any particular cause. In most cases, it is often mild and when it is severe, it is usually because of a lack of immediate and proper care on the part of the person grappling with it.

This type of back pain stems from inadequacies related to the posture of an individual. Also, it can occur as a result of lifting heavy object wrongly. For instance, when you lift objects while your body is positioned at an awkward angle, it can lead to pain in the lower region of your back. Also, sitting improperly can also lead to simple low back pain.

In addition, a simple low back pain can occur as a result of muscle pull or a minor problem with a disc between two vertebras. Sometimes, the painful condition can be made worse by a minor problem with a small facet joint between two vertebrae. The solution to this problem is to lie down flat on back and avoid moving around for some few minutes. It has also been discovered that sneezing, coughing and unnecessary back movement can increase the level of the pain in your back.

The pain that accompanies simple low back pain often disappears after a month. However, this does not mean that it can not come back again. Many victims have reported re-occurring bouts of the problem after its initial disappearance. Hence, it is highly advisable to avoid straining your back by sitting and lifting heavy objects properly. If possible, avoid lifting heavy objects. It is better to prevent the occurrence of the pain than spend all your hard earned money getting rid of it.

It is highly advisable that you contact your doctor immediately if you notice simple low back pain. Stop patronizing over the counter drugs. You are advised to go for prescribed drugs. Don't waste your life. Let your doctor help you. Don't try to solve the problem on your own.
